We are now 2 weeks away from this our 9th trip to the States.
Our trailer is already in California. We are going to depart from Heathrow airport in London for the first time. To make sure that we do not put ourselves under too much pressure we will travel down by train on the Wednesday, stay overnight in a hotel by the airport and take a shuttle to our terminal.
We are looking forward to exploring the central portion of California, the Mojave Desert, the Sierra Nevada Mountains with their giant redwood trees, Yosemite, San Fransisco then down the famous coast road to Los Angeles. From there we will venture inland to Death Valley. This will leave us 3 weeks to be flexible, so we will arrange that later. We then fly home from Los Angeles on Dec 6th. We think that the first month, September, will be too hot and the last month, November, will be too cold.
