We could not believe that within a week of getting our windshield replaced that it had received a rock chip - right in the middle of the passengers side! Well at least the chip had not cracked.
We checked out the terms of the replacement windshield, only to find that it was warranted against chips and cracks, also that another branch of Technoglass was located in Fort Collins. I enventually tracked him down. It took me two hours, due to his being a mobile operator, and he was mobile. His workshop was actually a P.O. Box, kind of small for that sort of work. Anyway, he cheerfully mended the chip and by lunch time we were ready to roll.
We had planned to drive across the rocky Mountains on route 14, along the Poudre River and find the source of the Colorado River, however on enquiring found that the side road to the head waters was still under several feet of snow, so we shelved that idea and headed straight for Laramie. You know once you have left Fort Collins that you have left the last vestiges of civilisation behind. The mountains retreat to the West, everywhere is sort of covered with grass and miles on the road just blend together, it was only 70 odd miles,but its a long way from Fort Collins to Cheyenne.
We still did not have internet so we had decided that we would drive to Laramie and then choose which campground to use. Should have known better. We arrived in Laramie, only one campground - a KOA, so we had to stop there. Fortunately it was quite reasonable, both in facilities and price. Only problem was the Wifi was down, which complicated life as our Verizon would not start for another three days.

good to catch up with your travels. We loved the Rocky mountains NP its where we took my Grandson, but we were there in August and weather was good. We camped in the NP and arrived in pitch dark to back into a site surrounded by trees - we laugh about it now but was not fun!
